PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT

Primary teachers play a crucial role in developing a child's social skills, emotional resilience, and self-confidence. They assist students in building positive relationships with their peers, managing their emotions, and overcoming challenges. Their influence is instrumental in shaping a child's career development and life aspirations.

β€œWhen the program is running, the engagement level of the students is high, and they aspire to develop knowledge and skills around their passions and how their passions can become a career”
— Teacher, Maryborough Education Centre

LET’S BEGIN

Before the program begins, educators engage in professional development to;

  • build upon their existing knowledge of career related learning

  • gain the skills needed to implement the Passions & Pathways Program

  • understand how program activities can be embedded into classroom planning

  • understand their role as an influencer in a students career aspirations

  • consider their own unconscious and conscious bias when implementing career related lessons
